From Amy Thomas, author of Paris, My Sweet. A love affair with Paris, New York, sweets and, now, a little girl named Parker.
I think I'd rather walk in both places!
I used to live in NY ( and we are going back to live there again) but I would rather ride that bicycle in Paris.
I choose my feet but I think I feel safer riding in Paris :)
Better lock that bike in Paris....
Always Paris, but for me "walking" is better.
Not sure about riding in either, but do love a good city walk and as I've walked miles in Paris (which I love) but not yet set foot in NY, maybe I'll go for NY, although a guide may be needed! Cycling for me is best done in the French countryside, along a canal, river, sunflower field, vineyard - so many possibilities!
I have to say . . . I feel safer walking in BOTH cities. But Paris is making progress in leaps and bounds with lots of new bike lanes.
Woah - everyone prefers/feels safer walking - c'est normal mais, encore, surprenant!
Love this - there is a great book called Paris vs. New York: A Tally of Two Cities that shows clever comparisons in a similar way. Hmmm...I have to say, I would be terrified to bike in either city but that there are few things in life as wonderful as wandering around Paris on a pretty day.
New to your blog.. really love it. Ahh, paris vs. new york. I'm biased.. I work in NYC, but man, Paris is beautiful. The croissants, coffee, bread. :)
