The Christmas lights are coming!

One of my favorite things last year was the Christmas season. The lights in this city are phenomenal, with every neighborhood and monument bright, dazzling, aglow...

I've been noticing the decorations slowly going up in shop windows and on grand facades. But when I was Velib'ing home down rue Saint-Honoré tonight, I was thrilled to see the stars shining bright.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee! C'est magique.

  3. I hope they are still there in January when I arrive! Some years they are and some they are already down. At least the SOLDES will be on!

  7. Oui, very pretty. Just as I was coming to accept autumn, winter weather descended on Paris this week... so at least we have the lights to look forward to.

Last year, it seemed they were alight for ages, so all New Year's and January visits should be a-ok... for not only lights, but, oui, Priscilla, les soldes! And don't forget le galette des rois - miam!
